Today was our last day in Florence. We visited a few
museums, including the Archaeology museum. It was really huge, and besides, I figured Paul deserved something for three days of following me around, saying, "Yes, you're right, Michelangelo is a genius." I also got to see the master bargainer in action as we scoured the marketplace for the best price on a leather satchel. Paul had some bargaining fun. After the best meal we've had in all of Italy, we went back to Piazza Signoria for a free, outdoor
concert complete with orchestra and chorus. Somehow,
I just don't see this happening in New York, at
least not at night in a crowd of happy,
gelati-eating people.
